Thank you for visiting my e-portfolio. My name is Rhonna Horney and I am a student at California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California. I was born and raised in Southern California and lived in Santa Clarita, in the Los Angeles County, for 18 years before moving to Camarillo. After I graduated high school I moved to Ventura County to obtain my bachelor’s degree. Now, almost five years down the road and I will have earned my Bachelors of Arts Liberal Studies in May 2015.
I have one older brother, a sister-in-law and three nephews who live in Arkansas. I truly enjoy visiting Arkansas and the rest of the South; it allows me to get a small glimpse of the cultural and social differences that we have in our nation.
I aspired to become an elementary school teacher for as long as I can remember. I enjoy working with children and I especially enjoy all the things that they teach me on a daily basis. I currently teach dance and cheer classes to children grades 1st-5th at a performing arts magnet school.
When I am not at school or at work I enjoy taking my dog on hikes, spending time with friends, giving back to my community, traveling and trying new cuisines.
Please feel free to keep up with my blog posts to hear my opinion on different leadership theories, styles, ideas, etc. Share your opinions as well!
